Meeting
Notes
President John was in charge
of the April meeting. This was our third time to meet at
Coco's. It is nice to have a private room for our group. I also
noticed that people are getting more familiar with the menu and a half a dozen
people have started to order some of Coco's wonderful looking desserts. I
can only assume that they tasted as good as they looked since there were only
empty plates on the table.
We
had 13 people present this month. Those attending were; Emilia
& Jim Seiferling, Henry Kirk, Ken Montgomery, Ron Southern, John McNamee,
Mike & Nancy Haney, Mila & Lamar Fairchild, Mike Zamorelli,
John Drago & his wife.
President John reported that he and
Carl Stein have been working on where our donation to the California Auto
Museum should go. No final decision has been made. John hopes to
have this finalized so that a check can be presented to CAM at our June
CP meeting. That meeting will be held at the museum. Please
note that meeting will be on Thursday, June 19. John will arrange food
for the meeting. More details will be provided at the May meeting,
which will be a Coco's as usual.
John displayed his latest DeTomaso
item - DeTomaso speedometer clock. He had one of the clocks available for
the monthly raffle. Lamar was the lucky winner of the clock.
If you would like to buy a clock, please contact John. (916-456-3809)
Emilia will be swapping a DeTomaso afghan for one of the clocks. John
will be donating $5 per clock to Capitol Panteras. Thank
you John!
John Drago is now a
Pantera owner. He found his Pantera with the help of Mike
Drew. It was found in Oregon and will be delivered to California
soon. Everyone needs to come to the May CP meeting at Coco's to
check out the new addition to the club. Please try and drive your club car
so that John's Pantera won't feel lonely in the parking lot.
Driving for Gas Money this month was
won by Ken. Also in the running for the gas money were Pres. John
and Lamar.
Emilia announced that her Rio Vista
Soroptimist Club will be holding a Road Rally on Saturday, April 26. It
should be a fun drive in the Delta. Please read the attached flier.
Contact Emilia for tickets. We will most likely be in the Fiat, so your
Pantera would be really special in the rally. The important thing is to
get out and drive, whether it is a daily driver or a club car. We hope to see
some of you in Rio Vista.
