Meeting Notes
President George ran the August meeting.
We had 12 people present this month. Those attending were; Emilia & Jim Seiferling, Rick Carlile, Lamar Fairchild & Mila, Ken Montgomery, George Potiris, Jeff Budelli, Ron Southern, Ken Whittall-Scherfee, Kymberly Kaslar & Josh.
Driving for Dollars:
Ken drove his DeLorean , Rick drove his Panteras. Ken won
the drawing for $10.00.
The yearly activity schedule was reviewed.
Jeff reported that the Festa went well. His was the only Pantera but that there was a good representation of Italian cars at the event.
There were several car events since the last Capitol Panteras meeting, but none of our members had attended. No Panteras at the CAM Cruise. No Panteras going to Monterey. Rick will be a pit crew member for a couple of other cars, a Marcos and a Cortina. Treasurer John may attend Monterey, but he was not at the August CP meeting to confirm that he was in deed attending.
Kymberly Kaslar reported that her group "Dreams and Drivers", a 501c3 non profit group, will be having a Prostate Cancer event on Sunday, November 17 at the Hyatt Hotel (location will probably be changed) from 8 am -noon. It will also be a memorial for John Worsley. Both Capitol Panteras and River City Shelby's have been asked to attend center stage. Alice will have automobile photos that John had taken over the years to give to the auto owners. Many of John's automotive photos will be on display. John's Bricklin will not be out of the shop in time for the Memorial. The site is weather flexible if the weather is poor. Details on the event will be passed along as they develop.
Lamar is fine-tuning his annual Placerville Run. Please save the date for the drive.
The date is September 22, Sunday. That is the first day of Fall, so the weather should be good. As always, if your club car is not available for the drive, come in your daily driver! Friends and any car marque are all welcomed. Remember the protocol, club cars are first in the driving line-up, non-club cars follow behind. There will be a trivia question sheet for your navigator to fill out during the drive. Sheets will be scored at the casino and prizes awarded for poker hands and trivia sheets. Please be prepared to RSVP at the September CP meeting at Mimi's.
