Prostate Cancer Fundraiser in Memory of John Worsley
November 17, 2013
Here are some notes from Kymberly.
We are going to start collecting Raffle
Items...Jim and Wayman if you have folks in your club with business who are
willing to donate raffle items for the event, I have attached the tax deduction
form for them (I will email it to
anyone that would like it. js). If they donate,
such as gift cards, gift certificates, wine, spa cards, etc, it is a tax
write off and you would give them a copy of the attached form. We do
these as 3rd party events so there is never any question as to where the $$
goes or the raffle items go.
This event is already on our Website, and will
be posted on FB in October. What I am doing is having copies made
now to hand out the next few months. We will also post up on Sac 360 and
other sites.
Thank you all...This will be a great event and
Alice and the family will enjoy meeting all of us.
Regards, Kymberly
Attached to this email is the flyer for the
event. js
Meeting Notes
Substitute President Emilia ran the September meeting, ably assisted by Nancy Haney.
We had 11 people present this month. Those attending were; Emilia & Jim Seiferling, Rick Carlile, Lamar Fairchild & Mila, Ken Montgomery, Mike & Nancy Haney, John McNamee & friend Mike Zamorelli, & Chris Diffani.
Driving for Dollars:
Rick drove his Pantera. Lamar drove his Roush Mustang. Chris drove his new Mercedes. We ruled that the Mercedes was new and not yet in the daily driver category. Chris won the drawing for $10.00.
The raffle was held this meeting. There were two custom DeTomaso tote bags made at John's shop. The lucky winners were Chris and Mike Zamorelli. Thank you John for getting the best items for our month Club raffle. Too bad for those not in attendance, you missed out on the chance to win some great DeTomaso items!
Recent events were reviewed.
Ken reported on his recent trip to Burning Man, in Nevada. He passed around some very interesting photos of the event. Rick added that he has also attended Burning Man, but only once about four years ago. Ken has attended for the past seven years.
John reported on his trip to Monterey. He finally won a trophy. He was awarded Second Place in the Most Modified Pantera Division! Hard to believe that there is a Pantera more modified than John's. He reported that there were about 35 Panteras at the Concorso Italiano. Next year the event will be on Saturday, rather than the usual Friday. There apparently is an attempt to increase the attendance. There are pros and cons to the day change. Guess we will have to wait and see how it goes.
Jim reported that he has sold the Etoile wheels. The wheels will go on a Pantera in Concord that is being restored by PCNC member, Randy Thomas.
New Business.
The Placerville Drive will be lead by Lamar on Sunday, September 22. All who would like to join the drive need to let Lamar know. SS7Lamar@yahoo.com At the meeting, Chris, Mike Zamorelli (in John's Pantera), and Emilia & Jim committed to attend. Please check your schedule and join us. If your club car is not up to speed, please come in your daily driver. You can be at the back of the pack with Jim and Emilia in their Fiat Abarth. We will meet up at the Costco in Folsom at 9:45 AM. Lamar has planned a Poker Run with prizes. He has also planned a game for the co-pilots, again with prizes! We will end the drive at the Red Hawk Casino for lunch. If you wish to do some gaming you can stay and play afterwards.
Meet at Folsom Costco and leave at 10
AM.

Jim reported that we attended the August "Dreams & Drivers" gathering in Folsom in August. This was Monterey weekend so the attendance was down. The nice thing about this gathering is that they start at 9 AM. That is a very good thing for those of us who do not live in Sacramento proper. There were about a dozen assorted cars at the event. We were in the Fiat and were invited to attend "Italy on Wheels" on Saturday the14th, at Murer House and Gardens in Folsom. This is a free event. If you might want to attend, the contact information is listed in the calendar of events of this newsletter.
The Club was reminded of dates in October for the Joint Brunch Run with the Reno- Tahoe Panteras and the Capitol Panteras annual Delta Brunch Run. See calendar for details.
