Meeting Notes, at Strings

September 11, 2018

By Jim Seiferling

We had 9 people at our August meeting at Strings. There was 1 Pantera in the parking lot.  We congratulate Ron Southern, Tom Leonard, and Lori Drew for their 3 hour carpool drive in I-80 traffic to get to the meeting.  This also goes for Curt Hall, coming from Modesto, fighting Hwy 99 traffic.  We also had to take the long way home because the Rio Vista bridge was closed for the night.  We were supposed to have nominations for club officers, but nobody remembered to do it.  We did firm up this years’ Christmas Party.  It will be in the same location as last year.  The party will be Saturday, December 15th at 5PM at; Viscontis Ristorante, 2700 E. Bidwell, in Folsom.  It will be held in their banquet room, which accommodates 24 people.  We all thanked John for setting this up. If there is an early response of members that is larger than what the room can accommodate, we will have to consider moving the gathering to a larger location. Those in attendance tonight would like to thank George Potiris for hosting a club dinner at his house in Elk Grove on Sunday, September 9th. It was a potluck with George doing the BBQ entrée.  The final attendance was 15.   Everyone had a great time and those who had not seen Georges’ gorgeous E-type Jaguar got an eyeful.  The rest of our meeting time was reminiscing on fun cars we’ve had in the past and recounting why we stupidly sold them.
